Vogue Meta Ocean X TRLab

A collection of NFT artworks curated by VOGUE in partnership with TRLab.

Goal

Inspired by Vogue WORLD's "meta-ocean", Vogue and TRLab have collaborated to launch an NFT drop featuring six digital art pioneers (Jessica Ticchio⁠, Anushka Tendolkar⁠, Khya Titrehan⁠, Baoyang Chen⁠, Cattin Tsai⁠ and Momo Chen) selected by Vogue's global editions. Each artist creates a limited edition of unique artwork to extend their vision of Vogue's "meta-ocean" through their own perspectives on the intersection of fashion, digital art, and NFT. Part of the proceeds will be donated to an ocean-themed charity.

Collaborated with the Creative Director from TRLab and led end-to-end process from ideation, brainstorming, production, animation, roll out of website in 1 month.

A smooth, engaging web experience

As Art Director, I collaborated closely with TRLab’s Creative Director to define the website’s visual language and digital experience. The mythical underwater world was translated into a fluid, immersive environment through flowing typography and layered blue gradient background video, creating the illusion of being submerged beneath the ocean’s surface. Subtle bubble animations and seamless scrolling were used as ambient details to add depth without distracting from the artwork.

The artist pages were designed with tailored layouts that highlight each creator’s background, featured works, and behind-the-scenes insights into their creative process.

The website was fully responsive, delivering a cohesive and elevated experience across all devices.

The experience was structured as a digital exhibition, using an underwater, mythical visual language to connect all six artists under the Meta-Ocean theme.

Key design principles included:

  • Editorial pacing inspired by Vogue’s print and digital storytelling

  • Immersive transitions and motion to reinforce the underwater world

  • Minimal UI that foregrounded the artwork and artist narratives

  • A refined color palette and typography system aligned with Vogue’s premium brand

Outcome & Impact

This project highlighted how thoughtful interaction design can elevate digital art launches beyond static galleries, creating an experience that feels curated, collectible, and culturally relevant. It reinforced the power of collaboration between brands, platforms, and creators to push digital storytelling forward.
